Cougar Buttes is located approximately 40 miles west of Yucca Valley, or 6 miles east of Lucerne off 247. Go north on camp rock road a few miles to granite road, turn right, this is the ohv access road, follow this road under the power lines and up in behind the mountians just past the toilets, we will try and set up camp there, if that area dosn't work out we will be across the little valley to the east. rumor has it that there are some lava caves around there somewhere that would make a great day trip, we are seeking more info. on this, also pray for someone to show up that can lead worship sat. nite. How about a pot luck?

we will be doing a taco bar w/mexican pot luck saturday, and a sunday morning breakfast with the leftovers, so bring whatever, there will be adventures for all levels from stock to extreme. a saturday run to some petroglyphs is planned, I heard about some lava caves in the area but don't have any info yet. I am sure we will run the bullfrog trail and the hole in the wall as well as many other top secret obsticles, this weekend is going to be a blast.

How did your event go?

I was up in JV on Sunday afternoon til a few hours ago today riding quads and camping around Anderson Dry Lake. I have never actually seen a rock crawl as of yet and I am fairly new at 4x4 and only hit some trails with my Jeep. I take it you all from your schedule wont be doing anything until fall?
